Annual CV Show at the NEC a great success


The annual CV Show and Workshop took place between 29th April -1st May and it saw thousands of visitors thronging the aisles as numerous truck and van launches took place. With over 450 exhibitors offering solutions to every problem a transport operator can expect to experience it provided an opportunity for those attending in these competitive times, to gain knowledge and ideas to assist with business growth.
The CV Show continues to achieve its original objective, to help operators select the right vehicles and run them at their most productive and profitable. With the accent on fuel economy, keeping the wheels turning, carrying the optimum load and going in the right direction, thousands of visitors left the Show with a host of new ideas for improvement, including new Euro6 offers from major truck manufacturers.
Fleet engineers, logistics managers and transport management of all disciplines spent a day in face to face discussions as to how to win in the current economic climate, with many stopping by the GEA, VOSA and DSA stands for updates on latest legislation. Workshop, mainly in hall 4, saw over 100 exhibitors showing equipment dedicated to maintaining vehicles of every shape and size, all designed to minimise vehicle downtime.
Mercedes-Benz were well represented at the show and their stand was well occupied throughout the show. City West Commercials staff were there throughout and welcomed many of their existing customers to the stand to view the range of Mercedes-Benz products and to benefit from the generous hospitality provided. In addition we welcomed prospective customers to the brand and look forward to the opportunity of working with them in the near future.
